Diagnostic Medical Sonography This program prepares individuals for a career in Diagnostic Ultrasound. It also provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures using high frequency sound waves in parts of the abdomen, neurosonology, obstetrics and gynecology. Students that complete the program will be eligible for the registry exam for certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. There is a selection process conducted by the college that all students must go through and this is one of the most competitive fields that EPCC offers. Students interested in this discipline must have a high GPA and complete certain requirements before acceptance into the program. |
