The council voted unanimously to raise the ARRIBA contribution by $25,000.

The issue that came in for the toughest debate today was the proposal from Mayor John Cook and city Rep. Beto O’Rourke to increase the city’s annual appropriation for Project Arriba by $100,000 to $350,000 to expand Arriba’s job training program.


Department of Labor Earmarked $95,000 for Project ARRIBA

Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison has sponsored Project ARRIBA to receive $95,305 in Workforce Investment Act (WIA) pilot, demonstration and research funds from the Fiscal Year 2008 Labor, Health and Human Services and Education Appropriation.
